The Balsam Institute of Science & Technology has received authorization from the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana. NAB is the Government of Ghana agency that is responsible for the regulation, supervision and accreditation of tertiary institutions in Ghana. It operates under the Ministry of Education.
BIT is affiliated to the Regional Maritime University (RMU) of Ghana. RMU is one of the oldest maritime universities in Africa and is globally recognized as a Centre of excellence.
